Origin
The origins of the dish can be traced back to the Mughal era, when it was first prepared in Northern India. During this period, the North Indian Mughal rulers, who were passionate about food, began to popularise this dish by adding exotic spices to it. This gave rise to the iconic flavor profile of Matar Paneer masala we know today.
